Q: Do you think that corporations should have the same rights as people, or not?
Should have the same rights: 24
Should not have: 56
Unsure: 20
This poll is biased since it didnt survey corporations. And, by the way, thank you, Montana:
The Montana Supreme Court closed out 2011 by restoring a 100-year-old ban on direct spending by corporations in political campaigns.
Even for a pair of Massachusetts politicians, it takes remarkable chutzpah to demand that citizens stifle themselves about a political choice that may affect their families and fortunes for years to come
Where “citizens” = corporations.
Were Brown and Warren really focused on limiting the influence of “special interests and outside agendas,” they would be working to curtail the power and authority that Washington exerts over so much of American life.
Because, you know, Washington is made up of unelected people, unlike the corporate persons that rule us all so benevolently. After all, if people dont like the message, err free speech, authored by anonymous money, they can always, hmm, you know, spend more free speech i.e. money, than their corporate person-brethens.
