57% of Americans don’t think the rich pay their fair share of taxes:

52 percent – think they pay the right amount of taxes, according to new data from the Pew Research Center. The number of people who feel that they pay more than their fair share of taxes dropped from 55 percent in 2000 to 38 percent in 2011.

No matter how many times this is asked, its always the same. So, it must be asked until the one time polls show the opposite. If/When that time comes, this particular poll question must cease from being asked so that GOP, Cato, Reihan Salam & Megan McArdle can point out why people hate higher taxes on rich and its an awful, socialist idea.

Hey, I know, a flat tax will solve this! ‘Cause nothing says deficit reduction than lowering tax revenues.
